TLDR;
If you visit Park Plaza Liquor and Deli, one thing is certain: Your experience will not be consistent from one visit to the next. If you’re looking for a good craft beer, you’ll enjoy your time. Otherwise, I recommend saving your time and money.

Full Review:
Park Plaza Liquor and Deli is a casual dining restaurant located in Prescott, Arizona. The restaurant offers a wide variety of food items, including sandwiches, burgers, wings, and salads. The restaurant also has a full bar and offers a variety of alcoholic beverages. If you’re looking for a wide selection beer, including local craft beers, this is the place to go. Unfortunately, it goes downhill from there.
Background Info
Before I continue, I want to provide some background. I’ve been a patron of the Liquor Deli off and on since it opened several years ago. Although the menu has always offered a great selection of local American bar food, the service has never been consistent. It ranges from mediocre to simply unacceptable. Occasionally you may experience a pleasant time with quick service and well cooked food, but those moments are rare.
My Latest Visit
I recently visited Park Plaza Liquor and Deli for dinner with a friend. We were seated promptly, and the hostess staff and server were friendly. But from that point on, it was clear that Park Plaza continues to struggle with running a smooth operation.
After waiting over 10 minutes, we were finally greeted by our waitress. We immediately ordered drinks and started our meal with the wings and the bruschetta. Again, another long wait of 25 minutes before our appetizers arrived. The wings were cold and the bruschetta was mediocre at best.
For our entrees, I ordered the burger and friend ordered the margherita pizza. The burger was cold too, so I sent it back without exploring further. The pizza was the only food that came out hot, but it was unevenly cooked – slightly undercooked on one half and a little burnt on the other.
Overall, I was disappointed with my meal at Park Plaza Liquor and Deli. The food was cold and mediocre, and the service was slow. However, the restaurant was clean and well-maintained, the atmosphere was casual and relaxed, and the prices were reasonable.
Conclusion
Many small missteps add up to a pretty underwhelming dining experience. It’s not the worst food in Prescott, but it’s far from the best.
If you visit Park Plaza Liquor and Deli, one thing is certain: Your experience will not be consistent from one visit to the next. If you’re looking for a good craft beer, you’ll enjoy your time. Otherwise, I recommend saving your time and money.
Overall, I would give Park Plaza Liquor and Deli a 2 out of 5 stars.
Some other details about my visit.
Cons:
- An unpleasant cold breeze comes into the dining area every time the patio door is opened
- The fries appeared overdone, but tasted fine
- One of the surveillance cameras kept flashing a bright spotlight, which made me less comfortable
Pros:
- The menu has some great hits, like the baked mac and cheese (when you can get prompt service)
- Other accommodations like the humidor and retail shop are unique additions that are a welcome sight in town
