TLDR; My SO and I went to Farm Provisions for the first time and were pretty disappointed. I ask myself at the end “am I happy having spent this money here?” The answer is no. I would have rather saved my money and spent it elsewhere.

Full Review

The food quality is good, but several things ruined the experience.

The Food

First, the burrata was completely unwieldy. No serving utensil was provided and I wasn’t really sure how to approach it… There wasn’t enough bread for the amount of tomatoes and cheese on the plate. The vinaigrette was drizzled all over everything, including the bread, leaving my hands sticky at the end.

The Caesar salad was inedible. For some reason, there was something spicy in it – I couldn’t quite place it, but I believe it was an overwhelming amount of garlic that was the culprit. I couldn’t wash the taste away fast enough!

Lastly, my burger. I got their Bleu cheese burger. It was too large to eat without cutting…so I proceeded to cut it down the middle. It immediately exploded as I started with the knife. I realized the bun had not been toasted, contributing to the soggy mess in front of me. At least it tasted good.

Service and Atmosphere

Now let’s talk about atmosphere and theatrics. A couple things served had a gimmick of some type to go with it. The burrata had a smoke-filled cover that was removed tableside, my cocktail had a rosemary sprig that was lit on fire tableside – I’m fine with that. But they didn’t add anything positive to the experience. Now this is probably a bit nitpicky – but they provide white napkins that get very gross only a minute into your meal. Pro tip – don’t use white napkins in your restaurant. It’s gross to look at.

Lastly, our waitress was not especially attentive. She was polite, but could have checked iln a little more.

Conclusion

It’s not all bad and I want to give due credit where it’s deserved. Like I said, the quality of the ingredients is good. Our water was always full (they have people walking around filling waters). And the decor in general was pleasant.

But unfortunately, we won’t be back anytime soon.

I’m sorry to hear you were disappointed. FP rarely has a bad review. Actually, I don’t think Uve ever read one. I’ve dined there many times experiencing excellent quality food as well as the most professional servers in the area. I do hope you’ll give them another try. All restaurants, as well as any business can have a bad day which is, I am sure, what must have happened. I’m assuming you voiced your displeasure while dining????
