Full Review of Bill’s Pizza

Simplicity is the name of the game and Bill’s Pizza in Prescott handles it nicely. It’s a nice place to get a quick slice for lunch or take an order to-go to enjoy at home.

Food Quality

Bill’s Pizza can proudly present “pizza” in their name – the pizza is great! The ingredients are fresh, it’s always cooked perfectly, and the recipes are inventive and varied. I especially like the fact that they include recipes using non-traditional sauces.

At other pizzerias, the crust is commonly messed up in two ways. One – the recipe is bland. Two – the cook is uneven. At Bill’s Pizza, I don’t think I’ve ever had either of those happen. The cook staff is trained well to cook it right every time.

The crust itself is one of my favorites. It’s a compliment to the rest of the ingredients. I like that it’s not greasy on the bottom either. Keep in mind – their crust is on the thinner crispier side. If you prefer thicker, fluffier crust, it might not be your jam – but I recommend trying it anyway!

At first glance, it looks like the menu has way too many options. But then I realized that almost everything on the menu is just different pizza options. That is fantastic! Some restaurants try to have too many options and they aren’t good at any of it. Bill’s Pizza understands specializing – and it serves them well.

They didn’t forget the beer! They always have a few domestic beer options to go along with your meal. I enjoyed a local porter with my lunch this time around. I also got the Black N Bleu pizza – so good! Salty, savory, and simply delicious.

Service

When first entering Bill’s Pizza, you’re greeted by the front dining tables and a little further back, the front counter. I’m always greeted very quickly by someone at the counter that lets me know I can sit anywhere if dining in. After finding a table, I have a brief moment where I wonder if the servers know I’m here. But without fail, a server is at my table within a couple minutes.

Staff is generally upbeat, polite, and attentive. It’s not world-class, but it certainly doesn’t take away from the experience. They wear a relaxed uniform (a blue t-shirt) – but it’s nice that you can tell who the staff is in case you need them. It’s a pet-peeve of mine when an establishment has no uniform whatsoever (or a uniform that can’t be picked out in a crowd).

My water stayed full, a second round of beer was offered, and food & utensils were brought out promptly. Overall, your customer service experience will be a positive one.

One downside – they don’t offer delivery. I don’t know if they’re considering it, but I think a delivery option would be a big bonus.

Atmosphere

Some dining rooms get neglected because of the large number of takeout orders. However, Bill’s Pizza has a pretty busy dining room, and they don’t let it go ignored. It’s quaint, clean, and inviting. The natural lighting from the front windows is a wonderful addition during the day.

The restrooms are a little confusing – two are tucked away down a hallway that goes past the kitchen. Another restroom is on the opposite side of the counter. It’s a little uncomfortable if you’re not familiar with it.

Price

Let’s face it – pizza isn’t a cheap option anymore. But you’ll be much happier spending your money here than most of the other options in town. Price is comparable to any other pizzeria but the experience and ingredients are much better! They also have a larger selection of toppings that many other places don’t offer.

Conclusion

Bill’s Pizza in Prescott is one of the best places to get pizza in the area. Although they don’t offer delivery, the trip to their restaurant on the square will be worth your time. We recommend going with a few friends for an afternoon lunch.
